Select students have been named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

A record number of graduate and undergraduate students at Lasell College were awarded degrees on Saturday, May 11, 2019 in a ceremony featuring remarks from Massachusetts Congressman Joseph Kennedy III.

Colby-Sawyer celebrated its 181st Commencement on Saturday, May 11, awarding approximately 185 undergraduate degrees and recognizing students and other individuals for academic excellence, outstanding contributions to society, and service to the college and community.

A total of 615 bachelor degrees were awarded by St. Lawrence University during Commencement ceremonies, which were held on May 19 in Canton, New York.

Cedarville University Student Named to Dean's List

The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire in May 2018. Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64. Students are only graduated after the Registrar's Office has certified that all degree requirements have been successfully completed. Participating in the commencement ceremony is the act of honoring and celebrating academic achievement.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

The following students have been recognized by the Department of Student Life and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life for their accomplishments as individual members of the UVM community as well as participants in Fraternity and Sorority chapters who exemplified commitment to the pillars of citizenship, friendship, leadership, lifelong learning, and justice.

Colby-Sawyer College recognizes 234 students for outstanding academic achievement during the 2019 spring semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses.

Faculty present graduating student nurses with pins and welcome them into the profession.

The Wesson Honors Program provides intensive academic, cultural and social opportunities for the most motivated and capable Colby-Sawyer students who combine a solid work ethic and natural ability with intellectual curiosity.

The Alpha Chi Award is given to one or more graduating students who, in the eyes of the members of Alpha Chi, best exemplifies the ideas of the society - truth and character - through work at the college in support of chapter activities.

The Colby-Sawyer College chapter of this national honor society recognizes the academic achievement of juniors and seniors. To be eligible for membership a student must rank in the top ten percent of the junior or senior class and demonstrate the Alpha Chi values of truth and character.

The capstone experience is interdisciplinary and differs for each student. In the capstone each graduating student demonstrates his or her knowledge by effectively communicating that knowledge to others during the Susan Colby Colgate Scholars' Symposium.

The following St. Lawrence University students were recently inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the national honor society for liberal arts and sciences undergraduates.

The following students have been selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University chapter off Sigma Pi Sigma, the national physics honorary society.

St. Lawrence University students and faculty presented at the 257th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society from March 31 through April 4 in Orlando, Florida.

Colby-Sawyer students from across majors along with Social Sciences & Education faculty members participated in the Carnival of Courage: Under the Sea Edition at the Newport Recreation Center on Sunday, April 14. Organized by the Child Development Club, the service-learning program featured fun, developmentally appropriate activities focused on fine and gross motor skills, including arts and crafts, sensory bins, magnetic fishing and face painting.

Elmira College released its Dean's List for Academic Achievement for the Winter 2019 Term. The Dean's List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who were registered for at least 12 computable credit hours and who earned a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Under the artistic direction of adjunct faculty member Laura Dunlop Shepherd, Colby-Sawyer's finest dancers are showcased in a two-act evening of dance featuring original choreography in genres ranging from classical ballet and jazz to contemporary, tap and modern.

Sigma's mission is advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. To be inducted, students must be in a baccalaureate program, have a GPA of 3.0, rank in the top 35 percent of their graduating class, meet the expectation of academic integrity and obtain faculty endorsements. Only individuals who have obtained a baccalaureate degree and have made a significant contribution to the nursing profession can be inducted as Nurse Leaders.

Internships are field experiences designed to provide a student learning opportunity under collaborative supervision between Colby-Sawyer faculty, staff, and work site professionals. Internships offer opportunities for students to enhance their academic programs with work experience related to career interests in all industry areas in national and international settings.

Albright's Domino Players offered standing ovation performances of "A Raisin in the Sun" in Wachovia Theatre, fall 2018, and at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Region II Festival, January 2019.

The following students have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the Fall 2018 semester at St. Lawrence University.

Elmira College's Mock Trial Team ended its inaugural season with trial wins and an individual award for "Outstanding Attorney" in a recent American Mock Trial Association ("AMTA") regional competition in State College, Pennsylvania.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
